The local South Florida Muslim relief organizations (ICNA Relief, FHII, Islamic Relief, SAC, SAMS, CAIR, and Helping Hand) and various Masajid (ISOM, ICSF, ICBR, and NUIA) came together and designated a Florida Refugee Assistance Committee to receive the asylum seekers and help integrate them into society.
We are working with several refugee families, helping them with housing, food, employment, and other needs. It is estimated that over 10,000 families are expected to settle in USA by the end of 2015, and that number may go much higher.
Volunteers and donations are needed. You may donate online, or mail your checks to our address designating the donation to be applied to the Refugee Assistance program.
